Carditello’s Real Site is located in the province of Caserta, in the heart of Campania Felix. It was founded by Ferdinand IV of Bourbon in 1787, in the area intended for the breeding and selection of royal breed horses and agricultural and dairy production.
In February 2016, was founded Carditello’s Real Site foundation, supported by MiBACT, the Campania Region, and the Municipality of San Tammaro.
The foundation, chaired by Luigi Nicolais, has the goal of giving back the historical Real Site to complete public access and the revival of the productive activities that had inspired its birth and, in particular, of the Persano government breed horse farm.
In continuity with the vocation of the Site-residence intended for the hunting art of the sovereigns but also a modern farm-the Foundation proposes cultural activities and initiatives in the equestrian and agroindustrial, in collaboration with the University of Naples Federico II, University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, the CNR and other companies and associations.
For the 2022-2023 school year, the foundation promotes activities for teachers and school students of all levels. Laboratory activities will be carried out in various sectors through innovative and interactive methodologies.
About environmental and agroindustrial education, will be presented naturalistic experiences, with the observation of the flora, fauna, and geomorphological context of the Royal Estate, to understand the importance of biodiversity and sustainability.
At the beginning of 2023, temporary exhibitions areas, will host the second edition of the exhibition Children and Museums – state of the art citizens from the Monumental complex of San Domenico Maggiore in Naples and realized by the cultural association étant donnés aps, which is an institution accredited to the National Plan of the Arts, in collaboration with ten educational institutions in the metropolitan area of Naples.
